  • There are two options available to obtain the Certified Casino Security and Surveillance Specialist (CCSSS)

    Option 1 is Self-Study which includes access to our online Learning Management System (LMS) which is accessible on any device and at any time. If you prefer, you also have the option of studying via our PDF Study Guide. Upon successfully passing the exam, an electronic CCSSS certificate will be issued along with a paper version sent via mail. You will also be able to use the CCSSS postnominal.

    Option 2 *COMING SOON* is Self-Paced, offered jointly with Dalhousie University. Though an online Learning Management System (LMS) take up to 6 months to complete the discussions and assignments. Upon achieving a passing grade in the coursework, you will receive a Dalhousie University Microcredential and the Certified Casino Security and Surveillance Specialist (CCSSS) certification. An electronic CCSSS certificate will be issued along with a paper version sent via mail. You will also be able to use the CCSSS postnominal.

  • Courses offered jointly with Dalhousie University do not have an exam, but are assessed via coursework.

    For the CCSSS Self-Study (Option 1). the course content available on acgcs.online forms the basis of the 100 question multiple-choice certification exam.

    The recommended study time is between 30-40 hours.

    There is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to studying for the certification. Using acgcs.online, you can study at your own pace and take the exam when you are ready - at the time you are best prepared.

    The CCSSS exam is taken directly through acgcs.online at a time and date of your choosing.

  • There are no recertification or ongoing CPD requirements for the Certified Casino Security and Surveillance Specialist (CCSSS) certification.
